The Spark
Affinessence was born from a radical question: what if a perfume didn’t need a pyramid? In 2015, after three decades in the fragrance industry, Parisian founder Sophie Bruneau launched one of perfumery’s first houses built entirely on linear compositions — scents designed to stay true from first spray to final whisper.
No top notes that vanish. No base notes you wait hours to meet. Just the scent you chose, exactly as you chose it.

The Craft
Affinessence works with materials most houses treat as precious luxuries — and uses them as foundations. Mysore sandalwood so rare it’s barely seen in modern perfumery. Basmati rice from one of the world’s most exclusive varieties. Tahitian and Madagascan vanilla absolutes. Siamese benzoin from Laos.
Perfumers Alexandra Carlin (Santal-Basmati, Cuir-Curcuma) and Corinne Cachen (Vanille-Benjoin) work under Bruneau’s creative direction, each composition a collaboration between founder vision and nose.
