Tobacco Mandarin, the Tangiers-inspired Night Veils extrait (mandarin, cumin, tobacco, leather, frankincense by Jérôme Epinette), is our best-selling Byredo; there is also a tester of the same juice at $439.
Gypsy Water Absolu is the cult classic grown up: pine needles, incense and vanilla absolute, moodier and deeper than the EDP, from $389. Slow Dance (opoponax, cognac, vanilla) is Byredo’s most intimate scent and, as a tester, the best-value full bottle here at $249.

Why Byredo
Ben Gorham was not a perfumer when he founded Byredo in Stockholm in 2006, which is why the house reads like memories rather than formulas: Gypsy Water is a Romani campfire, Bal d’Afrique his father’s Africa, Blanche clean linen. The Absolu de Parfum line reworks the classics at higher concentration; Night Veils are the extraits. Everything ships sealed from Sydney with Australia Post tracking, $8 Standard or $11 Express, within two business days.
About testers and sold-out bottles
Many of our designer bottles are testers: the identical fragrance in a plain box, sometimes without a cap, at a lower price. Each listing says exactly what arrives. When a bottle shows as sold out, open it and leave your email under “Notify me”; you get one message if it returns and nothing else. We do not run back-orders on designer lines.
Questions
What is the difference between Byredo EDP, Absolu and Night Veils?
Eau de parfum is the standard line. Absolu de Parfum reworks a classic at higher concentration with deeper base notes. Night Veils are 50 ml extraits de parfum built around tobacco, leather, rose and incense.
What does “tester” mean?
A tester is the same fragrance from the same house in a plain box, sometimes without a cap, sold at a lower price. The juice is identical to the retail boxed bottle.

Yes. Every bottle is sourced by us through authorised retail channels, kept sealed and checked before dispatch. We are an independent Australian retailer and are not affiliated with the brand.
