Coffee Break EDT 100ml
Let’s get one thing out of the way: this is not a strong coffee scent. Despite the name, perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud wasn’t trying to bottle an espresso shot — he was bottling the feeling of escaping a freezing city street into a warm café. And on that promise, it delivers beautifully.
The opening is fresh and slightly spicy — pepper and orange blossom with a whisper of patchouli — before the heart settles into something softer: creamy steamed milk, aromatic lavender, and warm tonka bean. There’s a coffee note in there, but it’s more latte foam than black coffee, more café atmosphere than coffee shop. The drydown is vanilla, cedar, and vetiver — woody, soft, like sinking into a well-worn armchair.
Fair warning: longevity is modest (3-4 hours on most skin), and lavender-forward scents can read barbershop-masculine to some noses. But if you’re looking for comfort over statement, intimacy over projection — this is a quiet gem. Think rainy afternoon, book in hand, nobody bothering you.
Straight from the source — Cavallier Belletrud’s café daydream, as intended.
