The Scent
Vert Malachite opens with a bright splash of bitter orange and petitgrain — a fresh, slightly green shimmer that quickly gives way to the real heart of the scent. Jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang bloom alongside a touch of pink pepper, rich and heady, before settling into a creamy white-lily accord warmed by soft vanilla and benzoin. Despite the “Vert” in its name, this isn’t a leafy green — it’s a creamy, milky white floral, delicate on the surface and surprisingly deep underneath.
The Collection
Vert Malachite belongs to Armani Privé’s Les Terres Précieuses collection, where each fragrance bottles a precious stone. Launched in 2016 and composed by Fabrice Pellegrin, it shares the gemstone family with Rouge Malachite, Bleu Lazuli and Bleu Turquoise. The malachite-inspired green glass is the giveaway — though the scent itself is far creamier than the stone suggests.
Notes
- Top: Bitter orange, petitgrain
- Heart: Jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang, pink pepper
- Base: Lily, vanilla, benzoin
Who It’s For
Vert Malachite is for the white-floral lover who wants something smoother than tuberose. If you love jasmine and lily but find many florals too sharp or too sweet, this creamy, lactonic take sits right in the sweet spot. It’s elegant, luminous, and quietly confident — a scent for someone who doesn’t need to raise their voice.
Performance
Long-lasting with good sillage — expect around 8 to 10 hours on skin. The bright citrus opening fades within minutes, leaving a creamy, warm floral that radiates softly and lasts well into the evening.
Authenticity
This is a tester — the genuine juice in plain tester packaging (no box, no cap). Fabrice Pellegrin’s composition, exactly as it left the house.
