The Scent

Jamaican naseberry and pear open with a fleshy, almost tropical sweetness the EDP only gestures toward — warmer, more present. Magnolia and violet form the floral heart, but it’s the sandalwood and amyris that reshape everything: where the original floats, the Absolu settles. Cedarwood, vetiver, and chantilly musk ground the drydown into something opaque and intimate, crisp amber keeping just enough light in the room.

Byredo’s first Absolu release in 2024 — the collection opener that proved fans wanted deeper, woodier reinterpretations. Jérôme Epinette wove naseberry, ambrette, pear, magnolia, violet, sandalwood, amyris, cedarwood, chantilly musk, crisp amber, and vetiver into this 100ml extrait. Rated 4.30 on Fragrantica.
