Named after a 1960s American wrestler — and it shows. Petitgrain and neroli collide in the opening with an effervescent, almost carbonated brightness that feels less like a cologne and more like a personality. Bamboo leaf and lavender form a green-woody heart that’s clean but irreverent — nothing stuffy, nothing traditional. Cedarwood and white musk close it out with warmth that refuses to take itself too seriously. Three to five hours of charismatic chaos.
The Collection + Performance
From Byredo’s Original Line, Jérôme Epinette composed this deconstruction of the classic men’s cologne in 2021 — petitgrain, neroli, mandarin, bamboo leaf, lavender, cedarwood, white musk in an EDP concentration. It doesn’t project like a beast and it’s not meant to. Mister Marvelous is a whisper, not a shout.

The man who already knows who he is and doesn’t need his fragrance to announce it. Lovers of classic barbershop scents looking for something with an edge. Anyone who appreciates a fragrance that defies archetypes.
