What it smells like
Mith Bangkok already had a Thai Tea fragrance: spicy, aromatic, tea-forward. Then perfumer Elodie Durande asked what would happen if it were creamier, and made this One Fine Day version. It is the iced drink, not the dry leaves. The opening is unmistakably Thai tea, that spiced black-tea aroma with a touch of star anise and vanilla-tinted orange. Within ten minutes the condensed milk arrives: smooth, sweet, never syrupy, like the first sip when the ice has just started to melt. The base is a soft musk that keeps it on the skin rather than in the room.
It reads as a gourmand, but a grown-up one. People who dislike dessert perfumes still tend to like this, because the tea keeps it dry enough.
How long it lasts and how far it reaches
A full working day for most wearers, with the first two hours the most noticeable. It projects at arm’s length and then settles close. Two sprays are enough; it is an eau de parfum, not a cologne, whatever the search results call it.
