Peach-sweet. Golden. The definitive oolong perfume.
Some fragrances try to smell like tea. Comforting Oolong is tea — specifically, a steaming pot of semi-oxidised Tieguanyin poured at golden hour, with a ripe peach resting on the saucer.
It opens with that juicy, fuzzy-skinned peach note and bright citrus, then the oolong rises through it — roasted, slightly floral, with all the warmth of leaves unfurling in hot water. The heart stays peachy and fruity-floral, never too sweet, balanced by an almost powdered-sugar softness. Then ambergris and musk carry it into a clean, woody finish that feels like resting your head on sun-warmed wood after a long afternoon. Richard Yu built this to be undeniably comforting, and at 4.09/5 it’s the highest-rated Chasense we carry.
For the person who wants a signature scent that’s warm without being heavy, sweet without being gourmand, and polished enough for any setting. Equally at home in a Melbourne café or a Sydney boardroom. The kind of fragrance that makes strangers ask, softly, “what are you wearing?”
