The Scent
Rose d’Arabie opens with a brief, exotic flash of saffron before a deep Damask rose takes over — rich, velvety, and unmistakably the star of the show. Beneath it, earthy patchouli and dark, smoky woods (oud/agarwood) add shadow and depth, keeping the rose from ever tipping into sweetness. It dries down into golden amber, warm and voluptuous, with a soft unsweetened vanilla smoothing the edges. This is a rose that whispers opulence rather than shouting it.
The Collection
Rose d’Arabie belongs to Armani Privé’s Les Mille et Une Nuits (The Thousand and One Nights) collection — a trio of rich orientals inspired by the 1001 Nights tales, originally released as a Middle East–exclusive alongside Oud Royal and Ambre Orient. Launched in 2010, it has no officially credited perfumer, which only adds to its mystique. Note: current retail labels it “Eau de Parfum Intense” — same scent, modern naming.
