A wild climbing rose that keeps going up into the clouds: fresh, juicy and full of light.
The Scent
Rambler Rose (踏云蔷薇) opens with a bright, tangy burst of passion fruit and sparkling bergamot. Then a dewy rose comes through, softened by pink peony and cooled with a breath of green tea, so it stays fresh and never turns jammy. It settles into a clean, skin-soft musk with a gentle glow of amber and blond woods. This is a rose in the open air, not one sitting in a vase.
The Collection
Part of To Summer’s Eastern Essence (东方精粹) line, the Shanghai house’s collection of poetic, Chinese-inspired scents. The name means “the rambling rose that treads on clouds”. Composed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette as an Eau de Parfum.
Notes
- Top: passion fruit, bergamot
- Heart: rose, pink peony, green tea
- Base: amber, blond woods, musk
Who It’s For
You’ll love it if you want a rose that feels light, sunny and modern rather than classic or heavy. It’s easy to wear to work, at weekend brunches and on warm spring and summer days. It’s sold as unisex, but most wearers find it leans soft and feminine. If you want a deep, dark rose, the bright fruity opening may not be for you.
Performance
This is a soft, close-wearing scent with moderate longevity. It stays near your skin instead of filling the room. For more lasting fragrance, reapply during the day or spray a little on your clothes.
Authenticity
This is a genuine To Summer product, sourced by Aussie Discount Fragrance. It’s brand new in its box, and we ship it from limited Sydney stock.
