A string of magnolia blossoms pinned to your collar by your grandmother, on an old Shanghai street in early spring.
The Scent
It opens fresh and green: leafy sap, a touch of narcissus, and magnolia that’s bright, a little lemony and still dewy, like a flower straight off the branch. Then the heart turns creamy as tuberose, jasmine and airy neroli fill out the white floral. It’s lush without being heavy. Clean cedar, soft amber and skin musk carry it home, gentle and polished.
The Collection
福开森路 (Ferguson Road) is the old name of Wukang Road in Shanghai’s former French Concession. White magnolia (白玉兰) is Shanghai’s city flower. To Summer (观夏) first made this scent in 2020 as the spring fragrance in its Four Seasons home collection, and it became the signature of the brand’s Shanghai store. In 2025 it came out as an Eau de Parfum. The 兰 in the name comes from 玉兰, magnolia.

Who It’s For
You love real flowers more than sugary florals, and you want a white floral that feels soft and nostalgic rather than showy. It’s lovely for spring and summer days, weekend brunch, garden walks and the office. Anyone can wear it.
Performance
A moderate, elegant wear that stays fairly close to your skin. It’s more of a soft floral aura around you than a scent that fills the room. Refresh it during the day if you want more presence.
