J-Scent’s W01 — one of the scents that started it all — is a love letter to Japan’s everyday tea ritual. It opens green and a little vegetal, a wet, leafy flash of mint and wintergreen, then settles almost immediately into the photorealistic aroma of roasted green tea, warm and gently smoky.
Coconut, peanut, and laver give the top that strange, addictive roasted-nuttiness, while jasmine keeps it bright and a cool minty breath stops it from tipping into bitter. The drydown is where it becomes a hojicha latte: creamy vanilla, soft iris, cedar, and a whisper of clover. Warm, milky, quietly nostalgic — like a quiet afternoon in a vintage Tokyo tea shop.
