Green tea at dawn. Bergamot in cold air. The first good idea of the day, bottled.
Picture a tea plantation early enough that the mist hasn’t lifted yet. Thé Amara is that walk — bergamot and peppermint up front, cold and bright and almost Earl Grey, with a prickle of pink pepper as the air starts to warm. Rose and sweet pea soften the middle without ever making it sweet, and it lands somewhere very clean: white musk, cashmeran and a whisper of cedar. Skin, not soap.
It joined the Collection Extraordinaire in 2023, composed by Nadège Le Garlantezec. This is the house’s haute-parfumerie line, where Van Cleef & Arpels works the way a jeweller works — one composition at a time, paid attention to.
This is a 7.5ml dabber miniature: the same eau de parfum as the full bottle, no atomiser and no outer box. It’s for you if you like your freshness cool rather than sugary, and if you already know you want this one on your desk rather than on a shelf. It wears close and politely — reviewers put longevity at around 6 out of 10 — so keep it in your bag for a mid-afternoon top-up. Spring and summer are its season.
100% authentic Van Cleef & Arpels — the genuine article, exactly as the house composed it.
