Moonlight Cherry
A glass of cherry liqueur by candlelight, warm and dark and a little dangerous.
The Scent
Moonlight Cherry opens like amaretto poured over ice: bitter almond and a splash of rum, rich and slightly boozy. Then a dark, tart cherry steps forward, and a thread of roasted coffee stops it from tipping into dessert. As it settles, vanilla and soft white musk turn everything creamy and close to your skin, and the almond stays with you right to the end.
The Collection
Moonlight Cherry is part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ Collection Extraordinaire, the Place Vendôme jeweller’s line of fine fragrances. Perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur composed it, and it launched in 2025 as an Eau de Parfum. She wanted to give the cherry “a strong, bold character”. It follows Moonlight Patchouli and Moonlight Rose as the gourmand of the Moonlight trio.

Who It’s For
It’s for you if you love cherry but want it grown-up, with booze and coffee instead of candy. You’ll get the most out of it on winter nights, at dinners and when you’re heading out. It’s unisex, though it leans sweet, and it’s too rich for a hot summer afternoon.
Performance
Moderate. Expect around four to six hours, with a trail that stays polished rather than room-filling. A couple of extra sprays help on cold nights.
Authenticity
This is genuine Van Cleef & Arpels, sourced by us. It’s a tester, so you get the full 75ml of the same fragrance, but it comes in plain packaging, not the sealed retail box, and it may not have a cap.
