Van Cleef & Arpels Santal Blanc — Eau de Parfum
Warm fig milk over pale, velvety sandalwood. Like your own skin, only softer and more expensive.
The Scent
The first spray is buttery fig milk, creamy and comforting, with a squeeze of mandarin that keeps it bright. Then the sandalwood comes through: smooth and pale, more like a soothing wood oil than anything smoky or sharp, with a soft dusting of violet. As it dries down it settles into clean, milky woods on powdery musk and tonka, close and comforting, and a little bit unusual in a good way.
The Collection
Santal Blanc (“white sandalwood”) is part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ Collection Extraordinaire. Michel Almairac created it in 2019 around the idea of a pure, tender white, and it was the first of the line to come in an all-white bottle. This is the Eau de Parfum.
Notes
- Top: fig milk, mandarin
- Heart: sandalwood, violet
- Base: musk, tonka bean
Who It’s For
It’s for you if you love creamy woods, fig or soft “clean skin” scents, and you’d rather be noticed up close than across the room. It’s an easy everyday signature for the office, slow weekends and quiet moments with someone close. It wears as unisex, feels cosy in the cooler months and stays light when it’s warm.
Performance
Expect a soft, skin-close scent. Projection is gentle after the first hour, and how long it lasts depends a lot on your skin: anywhere from a few hours to most of the day. A spritz on clothing or a scarf helps it last much longer.
Authenticity
This is a genuine Van Cleef & Arpels tester, sourced by us and shipped from our Sydney stock. You get the same Eau de Parfum as the retail bottle, but it’s a tester, so it doesn’t come in sealed retail packaging and may not include the retail box or cap.
